In Loving Memory of Dr. Angela “Angie” Lusty

With the heaviest of hearts, we share the passing of our beloved veterinarian, co-owner, colleague, and friend, Dr. Angela “Angie” Lusty on August 13th 2026.

Angie dedicated her life to caring for animals and the people who loved them. To so many, she was more than a veterinarian—she was a trusted friend, a compassionate presence, and someone who treated every patient as though they were her own.

As a co-owner of Pierson Pet Hospital, Angie was known for her gentle spirit, exceptional medical care, and genuine concern for every family she served. She gave her whole heart to her work and to the animals and people entrusted to her care.

While words cannot adequately express the loss we feel, we are deeply grateful for the years we were blessed to know and work alongside Angie. Her legacy will live on through the countless pets she cared for, the families she comforted, and the lives she touched.

Thank you for allowing Dr. Lusty to be a part of your families’ lives. It was an honor she cherished deeply.

Why “Eye of the Tiger” Is Angela’s Song

“Eye of the Tiger” wasn’t just a song Angela loved. It captured so much of who she was.

The song speaks of rising up, facing challenges with determination, finding strength when life becomes difficult, and refusing to let hardship take away your spirit.

That was Angie.

  • She had an incredible inner strength, but it came with an equally incredible tenderness. She was passionate about the things she loved and fiercely devoted to the people and living things in her care.

  • She didn’t simply love her family—she poured herself into them.
  • She didn’t simply become a veterinarian—she gave every animal the compassion, patience, and tenderness she would have given her own.

Angie faced life with courage, loved with her whole heart, and never lost the spark that made her so uniquely herself. Her fiery spirit, gentle heart, creativity, faith, and unwavering dedication will remain a part of Pierson Pet Hospital and everyone whose life she touched.

“Eye of the Tiger” will forever remind us of Angie—her strength, determination, passion, and beautiful spirit.
