    Dr. Rod Pierson, Veterinarian

    Dr Rod Pierson is a graduate of the college of veterinary medicine at Michigan State University and has been practicing in Davison since 1966. He and his wife Darlene have four adult children and eighteen + grandchildren. They reside on thirty acres of the family farm in Goodrich. Dr Pierson’s special interests are internal medicine, managing geriatric patients, and dermatology, including the management of allergy patients. He especially enjoys long term relationships with clients and has worked with four generations of several local families and considers them among his friends.

    Shawn Haubenstricker, Technician

    Shawn has 18 years experience in Veterinary Medicine.  She graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2003 and passed both state and national board exams. She has experience in both emergency and specialty practice, and a special interest in behavior and cytology.  She serves on the Baker College Advisory Board for their Veterinary Technology Program, and also as an externship supervisor for the Baker College Technology students. Shawn recently published an article in Veterinary Technician Journal on "Cat Scratch Disease".

    Shelley Shollack, Technician

    Shelley started at Pierson Pet Hospital in 1993. She is a 1990 graduate of the veterinary technology program at Michigan State University and passed the state and national board exams to become licensed. At work she has a special interest in anesthesia and pain management. Outside of work, she enjoys playing agility with her dog, gardening, reading, quilting, playing piano and handbells. She is married to Pete and together they have 2 dogs, "Aggie" and "Luci".

    Juliette Thiel, Assistant Technician

    Juliette has been working as a veterinary assistant at Pierson Pet Hospital since 1999. She graduated from Michigan State University in 1995 with a degree in Zoology. Juliette and her husband currently share their home with a number of furry friends, but there is always room for "just one more".

    Cindy has been working in the veterinary field for over 10 years as an assistant. Her special interest in veterinary medicine is general and orthopedic surgery. She was raised on a small farm with several animals. She is married with four children and 3 dogs.

    Jyl Echols, Client Service

    Jyl grew up in Davison and graduated from Davison High School in 1995. She has worked in Client Services at Pierson Pet Hospital since 2000. She enjoys working on computers, creating new projects and loves visiting and taking care of our clients and their pets. Outside of work she and her husband enjoy working at church in the helps ministry. She also has a wonderful daughter that keeps them busy in their spare time.

    Tricia Kester, Grooming Staff

    Tricia Kester is a resident of Silverwood, MI. She is married and they have one cat, two dogs, and a horse. She went to school at the Academy of Animal Arts. She welcomes all breeds and sizes. Tricia's specialty is poodles and likes hand stripping terriers.
